Manitou Weather Station Fishing Lodge is very unique as they have combined luxurious accommodations with the remote adventure of a fly-in. You can also boat to their lodge but it's a trip. They are located on Lower Manitou Lake, which is stuffed with Lake Trout. Not only can you catch tons of Lake Trout, they have guests catching big 20-pounders. Some guests have caught their limit right off the dock. Lower Manitou Lake is also stuffed with monster size Muskie. They also have excellent fishing for Northern Pike and Smallmouth Bass. This is a really awesome place to go fishing. Their web site tells it all. You can also boat to their lodge if you want to use your own boat. There are no towns anywhere near them.
