Arctic Watershed Outposts: have multiple fly-in outpost cabins on 9 different lakes north of Nakina, Ontario, Canada. All their lakes are stuffed with Walleye and Northern Pike including large trophy Walleye up and over 10 pounds and Monster Northern Pike, which some times break the 25-pound mark. They also have opportunities for big beautiful Brook Trout on the Opichuan River and the Ogoki River. A couple of their lakes have deep spots where massive Lake Trout can be caught. On Kagianagami Lake (Kag Lake), Lake Trout are common over 10-pounds with many Lunker Lake Trout over 30 pounds being caught and released. Thunderhook Fly-ins & Smooth Rock Camp
is located north of Armstrong and in the heart of the best Lake Trout fishing in Ontario. They offer multiple fly-in outpost camps to choose from on remote lakes and a fly-in lodge. They offer lakes with great Lake Trout fishing. Lake Trout actively change their depth throughout the year to find cooler water as the heat of the summer moves in so you will have to contact Thunderhook for details on where to find Lakers during the summer if you are not an experienced lake Trout hunter. In the spring and fall Lake Trout are easier to find and just under the surface and are usually caught by guests who are Walleye fishing. Guests purposely targeting Lake Trout with the right techniques should be able to get 3 to 6 nice Lake Trout on an average day and maybe even a big Brook Trout. The Lake Trout are most common in the 1 to 5 pound range but trout as big as 30 pounds have been caught on Thunderhook’s lakes. They also have outstanding fishing for Walleye, Brook Trout and Northern Pike.

Lake Nipigon Charters
is operated by Darren Goodman. Darren was born on the lake and is a 3rd generation professional guide bringing guests the very best Brook Trout (Speckled Trout) and Lake Trout fishing in the World. Nipigon is the home of the World Record Brook Trout and still the best place on earth for both numbers and giant Brook Trout. Brook trout in the 1 to 4-pound range are common but monsters over 7 pounds are available. Once in a while 10-pounders get caught. Lake Trout fishing is just as good as the Yukon, Alaska or the Arctic without the ridiculous cost. Lake Trout are common up to 20 pounds with a few every year in the 30 to 40-pound range. On occasion Lake Trout in the 50-pound class get caught. Lake Nipigon’s record for Lake Trout is 62 pounds but the MNR have netted bigger ones. Charter starts at the docks in the town of Nipigon. You will be fishing off a very comfortable and safe 45-foot fishing trawler.
